Professional Footballer Delivers Master Class

We are pleased to present the follwing article, sent to use by a school we visited:

Anthony Storey, former Middlesbrough FC player and current Tonbridge Angels Captain delivered an inspirational master class to a selection of year 7 and 8 students on Friday.

The Helenswood football squad were put through their paces as they learnt the importance of close ball control, hard work rate, self discipline and having the confidence to try new things.

Helenswood impressed with their attitude to learning and their response to coaching points from Storey. Having had a small number of our girls being highlighted by Brighton and Hove Albion FC as being talented individuals good enough to become a part of their Centre of Excellence, the master class has inspired them even more and hopefully enhanced their aspirations of playing at the highest level in the future.
